Hard disk drives (HDDs) are one of the items providing functionality for storing data that persists across computer reboots. They come in many different tiers, though currently the only difference is visually. In the future, different drives will offer a different amount of storage space, perhaps also different access timings and maybe more.

Provided component

This item provides the massStorage component which is either ManagedMassStorage or UnmanagedMassStorage, though currently only the managed version is implemented. For details on the available functions, see the those links.
